Handmade Crochet - Free Shipping on Most Items

I first learned some crochet stitches from my grandmother when I was ten years old. I didn't do much with the knowledge until I married. My sister-in-law picked up where my grandmother left off and before I knew it, I was crocheting! I learned how to read patterns on my own in the following years, and made many baby blankets for my own children and as gifts for friends. After my

daughter started showing rabbits, I started to see cute rabbit hats at shows. I started looking up patterns for hats and played around with them. I made some hats for my first grandchild, and

started seeing some really cute designs such as the 'Minion' hat. I can make almost anything that has a pattern, so if you find a pattern you would like made, please contact me and send me a

link to the pattern online, or a picture of the item so I can look for a pattern. For "Made to Order" items using preferred colors or specialty yarns, I will have to price out the yarn and quote you a price. I would need the name and color of the yarn. I yarn shop at Joann Fabric, Hobby Lobby, Walmart and Meijer stores. Occasionally, I will take the hour and a half trip to Pat Catan's. I collect no money until the item is ready to ship, then I can take payment through PayPal. I do not take cashiers checks or personal checks. As soon as the payment is verified on the item, I will put it in the mail. I CANNOT sell patterns from other artists as that would be a copyright infringement and for "Made to Order" items, the pattern CANNOT prohibit retail sale of the completed item. This shawl was crocheted using Paton Bamboo Silk Yarn. This was my first time using this yarn type for any project. The yarn is very soft and has a very nice sheen. I learned that "joining" with this yarn looks much better if free ends are knotted rather than woven into the project. It was a nice learning experience, as this item has been created for a good friend. This garment used 13-1/2 spools of yarn and has plenty of room. With a ruffle on two sides, a beautiful stitch combination for the body, and the beautiful drape that the yarn produces, this garment is quite stunning.
